Ý nghĩa phổ biến nhất của tính từ sensible là trên thực tế, hợp lý, có (hoặc hiển thị) cảm giác tốt hay một sự phán xét.
Ý nghĩa phổ biến nhất của tính từ sensitive là dễ bị tổn thương hoặc xúc phạm, rất sâu sắc, mau gọn phản ứng với nhiều thay đổi nhỏ hoặc khác lạ, và chăm chú đến những bài toán bí mật hoặc mẫn cảm.
